Charlton Heston has a strong Ethos, because he is the president of the NRA, a war veteran and a movie star. Because he is the president of the NRA, the NRA members are naturally going to have great trust in him. Being a war veteran is something americans think highly of. Thus the NRA members probably recognize Charlton Heston as some kind of hero. The fact that he is a movie star also makes him seem like he is above everyone else. Being recognized by many people probably makes him seem powerful.

Charlton Heston also uses pathos. He does this by playing with the emotions of the audience. For example he talks about how he had to go to war at the age of 18. He talks about things that the audience can relate to, and makes them feel angry because the people and the mayor of Denver are asking them to leave. This is where he also starts using logos. For instance when he says that people can’t tell him and the NRA members not to come to Denver, when they are already there at the convention.
