I woke up from my sweaty slumber in the afternoon. I still had an immense headache from my bad trip earlier today. It still hadn’t worn off since I went to take a nap on my so called bed. Everything looked like shit in my apartment. I haven’t cleaned for days or maybe weeks, I don’t even remember anymore.

My whole mouth was dry like a dessert and my lips shriveled. I tried making my way to the kitchen, avoiding all the crap that was lying on the ground beneath me. Broken syringes and bandages covered the floor like a carpet. I managed to guide my way to the kitchen without stepping on any broken glass or needles. Now on to my next task, to get a glass that was clean or at least looks that way. When I took a glance over at the vast continuance of foul and nasty dishes I almost felt like giving up. That was until I saw the shimmering of a clean glass on the backside of the kitchen counter. I thanked the gods for smiling upon me, now I didn’t have to rinse a glass just for some water.

I am not sure how I came this far out, but I do know how it all started. Some years ago back in 2052, there was a huge debate about this new “medicine” that would put a person in a paralysis state, and have dreams that were controllable. While the person was asleep/paralyzed, the body gained a massive regeneration boost that was able to cure every form of disease, and the physical condition of the body would be in top shape. Of course this would seem like the miracle cure we humans have sought for. So why was it being debated in such a large scale?
