I chose this topic because I think it is interesting. I think it is a topic that is very important for the American history, which is one of the main reasons I chose this topic.

1: who was Martin Luther king?

A Baptist minister and social activist

He led the civil rights movement in us. from mid-1950s until 1968

He died by assassination in 1968

His goal was to end the legal segregation of African Americans in the us, and create equality between the races

2: How did he ended up being a spokesperson for the black people?

After Rosa parks, refused to give her bus seat to a white, and got arrested for violating the city’s segregation law, activist formed the Montgomery improvement association to boycott the transit system and chose Martin Luther King as their leader.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was only 25 when he helped organize the Montgomery Bus Boycott and was soon organizing black people across the country in support of the right to vote, desegregation, and other basic civil rights

In 1963 martin Luther King held his popular “I have a dream” speech. In which he spoke of his dream of a United States that is void of segregation and racism.
