I chose this topic because i think Martin Luther changed the world and i find it interesting that one men stood up to the whole world and said what he meant was right for the black people. Martin Luther made a difference for a lot of people. He made a change to the world and he also made people see things how he so them. Many people to this day still talk about him and about all the he stood for.

2. What did Martin Luther King fight for?

Martin Luther King was fighting for the civil rights for black people in the southern states. He soon became one of the most respected leaders for the black . He held a total of 208 speeches combine in only a year Martin was one of the main persons in starting the Montgomery bus boycott. It started because the black people needed to stand up for the white people in the bus. It started with a woman named Rosa Parks didn’t want to stand up for a white man. And because she didn’t want to, she got arrested. After that the black people started the boycott. That meant that the black people didn’t want to take the bus, so bus company lost a lot of money. The boycott was the reason that Martin Luther King became one of the most important people for black civils rights. In January 1957 there started the protest and boycotts began in many places. The protest were about black people who wanted the rights and to be treated nice. And Martin Luther became president of Southern Christian Leadership Conference also called SCLC.
