Learning from the past - Personal interest - Important history

I chose slavery as my topic is because I have always wondered, why people thought that they were above an entire civilization? What justify their terrible actions aginst an entire civilization?

The slaves were removed from there cultur and their families and was traumatize for life. I think that’s really interesting but also very painful to think about. But even if it’s painful to think, that slaves were actually treated the way they were, the lessons are really important and valuable and are the keys to prevent it from happening again.

What is the definition of slavery?

Dominating influence - Force to work - Is own by a person

The correct definition of slavery is:

“The condition of being legally owned by someone else and forced to work for or obey them”.

That sentence is exactly how, many people thought a slave’s life were supposed to be. The slaves didn’t have a life. The masters or slaves’ traders didn’t see people. They saw dogs or an abomination to the human mankind. The bible didn’t mention anything about black people and people than thought it was because good didn’t see them as people and so shouldn’t the masters and slave traders treat them as. So that meant that under the law in the USA, an enslaved person was treated as property and could be bought, sold, or given away.
