The blacks began coming to USA in the 1600 century as slaves owned by the colonial countries like England, Spain, Netherlands and France. These countries had colonies in West Africa and in America where they exported the black people to. The slaves where already slaves or if they not had enough slaves they where capturing black people in the jungle.

The conditions on the ship over the Atlantic were very bad because the people lay in lays. The few who survived the trip over the Atlantic was sold as slaves at auctions like when you buy animals at a market.

In 1774 the Founding Fathers of the United States refused to allow slaves to come to USA and in 1783 they would have slavery completely abolished but only the North states wanted to stop slavery. In 1804 the last North state stopped slavery and it was New Jersey. In 1830 onwards the North tried to get slavery abolished but only with the result that 11 southern states broke away from the United States in 1861 because they needed slaves the make the work on their plantations and to have someone to look down on. Then came the civil war and the war was over in 1865 and the North won so the slaves was free. But the backs had a problem they didn’t had a education so they cut not have another job so many off them stayed at their plantation.
