Identity. A funny thing isn’t it? How we change during adolescence and how peers and parents can influence how we think and how we see ourselves.

Everyone struggles with the question “who am I?”. So, who are you? And perhaps more important question is: How did you become this person?

Everything affects us. Maybe we don’t notice at first, and maybe it’s just small things we don’t even realize have affected us. The things we experience can help us grow as a person, but not always in a good way.

Bullying in school is proven to have a massive influence on the development of children’s personality. Whether it makes them self-isolated or insecure or even the third thing. In the story of Tich Miller both Tich and the narrator Tubby was bullied quite heavily. In the end we learned that Tubby ended up becoming offensive and that he had started bullying others as well, while Tich presumably killed herself. That is a great example of how we can change depending of other around us’ actions, but at the same time everyone doesn’t change the same.
