1. Give an outline of the different views on Rachel Dolezal presented in the three texts

All three texts deal with the scandal with Rachel Dolezal, a woman who worked for NAACP (National Association for Advancement of Colored People) as a race-related, and she has described herself as African-American woman even though parents are both white.

In the first article Civil Rights activist Rachel Dolezal misrepresented herself as black, claim parent here is a lot of discussion about the parents' opinion and view regarding their daughter Rachel. Her parents claim that because she has been surrounded by black people and even been married to an African American has affected her and made her wanted to change completely and play a role that is supposed to be the “real” her. ”Rachel has wanted to be somebody she’s not. She’s chosen not to just be herself. but to represent herself as an African american woman or a biracial person and that’s simply not true”Her mother explains here that her daughter Rachel Dolezal tries to be a person who simply is not her. She lives in a lie and she is struggling to accept herself her "real" self.

In the second article, there is more discussion about whether and how Rachel Dolezal's action has provoked and created fear among black women. As told in the article, Rahel is a woman who works in race and she because of her position and her work, so she has also gained trust in many people, but instead of support what she works here, she can do the exact opposite. “She seems intent on minimising the impact of her actions on the community she claims to support.Until she faces up to them, she won’t understand why that community feels so betrayed”. Here, the writer tells us that a person who works in something that is race related needs to be careful about what they say or do because they may lose people trust and support. The writer means that Dolezal has not fully understood that. The writer says Dolezal's intention was to surely help or support the community she supports, but instead, she has not realized that she has done exactly the opposite. Instead, this community feels betrayed by her.
