9/11, terrorattack, September 11th, coordinated attacks, flight 11, hijacked, north tower, 93rd 99th,

What is terrorism?

Terrorism is the use of force or violence against people or properties to intimidate or coerce a government or its citizens to further certain political or social objectives. Law enforcement generally recognizes two types of terrorism: domestic and international.

Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.

Domestic terrorism or homegrown terrorism is a form of terrorism in which victims "within a country are targeted by a perpetrator with the same citizenship" as the victims.[1] There are many definitions of terrorism, and none of them are universally accepted. The United States Department of State defined terrorism in 2003 as "premeditated, politically motivated violence perpetrated against noncombatant targets by subnational groups or clandestine agents, usually intended to influence an audience."[1] There is no Federal criminal offense designated as domestic terrorism.

Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups who are inspired by, or associated with, designated foreign terrorist organizations or nations (state-sponsored).

9/11 is the date of the terror attack in New York on September 11th 2001. They were coordinated attacks against the US. In the morning on the 11th of September 2001, 19 men associated to al-Qaeda hijacked four passenger flights. The terrorists crashed two of the flights into the twin towers. The towers collapsed after 56 and 102 minutes after being hit due to the fires caused by the flight crash and the explosion caused by flight fuels.
