The importance intelligence constitutes in socialization processes

Intelligence and IQ are not the same things. Your IQ is a measurement of the 'intelligence' trait that each and everyone has to a greater or lesser degree in comparison with others. Studies has like we see in the BBC documentary; "Battle of the Brains" verified the mentioned fact. The scientific world is, because of the modern existing studies, convinced that intelligence is more than just an IQ score. In many years, a high intelligence has been followed by social acceptance which leads to acknowledgement as well as admiration by the general population. The thing is that big parts of the general population associate’s intelligence with the IQ score of an individual. Big parts of the population are not getting the essential amount of social acceptance. The missing amount has an impact on quality of life.

According to the internet, intelligence has been defined by; the ability to learn, emotional knowledge, creativity, and adaptation to meet the demands of the environment effectively. As this definition beautifully describes, intelligence is more than just an IQ-score. New studies show how we find different kinds of intelligence in our modern society. An individual does not have to be a mathematic genius to be intelligent. A quantum physicist would at any time be seen as more intelligent than a pedagogue by the general population. We as humans are controlled by social control which is why we would make that assumption before even making an effort to get to know and understand them. Sociologists define social control as the way in which norms, rules, laws, and structures in society regulate human behavior. In our modern society we have an unwritten rule which says that the higher an IQ-score you can get the more intelligent you are. IQ-tests were developed in 1905 and has since guarded over the definition of intelligence, so this norm is kind of obvious if the circumstances are taken into account. The thing is that a pedagogue probably would have a better social intelligence, but because the social control that controls the behavioral characteristics in our society the profession is not seen as an intelligent profession.
