I choose this topic because i am a bit supporter of the LGBTQ+ community. And a lot of the people I look up to is ether a part of the LGBTQ+ community or a supporter.
What is it?
The LGBTQ+ community is a community for people who are gay or identify as another gender than what they were born as.
The letters in the name each stand for a different sexuality.
L - Lesbian
G - gay
B - bisexual
T - transgender
Q - queer
And the + is there for other identities and sexualities like pansexual and asexual.
Homophobia
Homophobia is a big problem when it comes to the LGBTQ+ community. Some people today still think that it is disgusting that some people are together with someone the same gender as themselves or change their gender.
But a lot of people today accept that. A lot more today than people did in the old times, back than you would in some countries die or just be rejected by society. Today some places you will still be sent to prison or even get sentenced to death.
Some people today hide their sexuality because they don’t want to be called names and be judged by people who doesn’t support LGBTQ+
