This is an Amish family and they stick together for generations.

The Amish history starts in the 16th century under the reformation in Europe, Switzerland. Some people believed that baptism was for adults and they wanted to separate the state and the church. Menno Simons was the leader of the Christian believers and they were called the Mennonites. In the late 17th century, some of the Mennonites felt that there was a slack about the discipline in the group. They meant too many modern things was allowed. The “Amish” is named after Jakob Ammann. He was the leader of the people who felt the Mennonites church was not strict about the rules.

In the revolution, Jakob Ammann and the rest of the Amish people heard about the religious tolerance and rich farmland in the new world, United States of America. They were invited by William Penn to settle in Lancaster country and it is there most of the Amish lives today.

The old and wish men in the Amish community thinks the modern is the devil's playground and it is the world of too many choices. They are against modern things and they do not even in use tractors or any other petrol-powered vehicles in the farms or to travel around. Instead, they use horses to pull the buggies and to plow the fields. They do not want to live the hectic life we are living in the rest of the world and that is why they have metal wheels on the buggies, so they can relax and no get any kind of stress.
