Fantasy is one of the leading genres of literature, it became famous because it made the impossible seem possible and helped us set visuals on our craziest dreams. Fantasy is known for challenging our reality whilst creating new universes and expanding our common knowledge.
A well-known fantasy text is Narnia. Narnia was one of the first and highly successful fantasy literature and it was made in a time where kids needed it the most.
It was published a couple of years after world war 2 and it helped a lot of kids regain the light inside of them. Narnia is about 4 siblings that were sent away to the country to stay safe from the ongoing war. At the mansion, they stay at they discover a portal to a parallel universe called Narnia.
The protagonist of Narnia is the youngest of the pack, a little girl called Lucy.
Lucy would be described as the perfect fantasy protagonist as she is young, innocent and quite nosey. As a child, you are innocent and have pure intentions.
Having a younger protagonist makes the story better for people to understand as the story often gets less complicated with emotions and physics.
Lucy is first seen as a very innocent girl that does not want any trouble and therefore thinks that all of her siblings should sleep instead of talking and she seems rather weak as her thoughts show how afraid she is of the professor and his large mansion.
