Democrats and Republicans views on these three overall topics

1. Racial issues: In May

25th 2020 a black man named George Floyd got killed by a white police officer, the police officer had his knee pressed down on George Floyds head for 8 minutes. The whole world was frustrated, especially the black community. The poor treatment the black community had received over the years in the US, brought back the Black Lives Matter movement. The Black Lives Matter movement started in 2013 after the death of a Afro-American teen, Trayvon Martin. Most of the people who support the Black Lives Matter movement identify themselves as Democrats. Many if not most of all the Republicans don´t support the Black Lives Matter movement, but instead the All Lives Matter.

2. Human rights:

in 2016 Hillary Clinton said “Gay rights are human rights”. In 2011 Trump said that he don´t support gay marriage. So you can see the difference between Hillary Clinton who is a Democrat and Trump who is a Republican.

3. Abortion:

Most of all the Democrats are pro-choice which means that they support abortion. People who identify as pro-choice believe that everyone has the basic human rights to decide when and whether to have children. When you are pro-choice you believe it´s ok for women to have the ability to choose abortion as an option for unplanned pregnancy. But on the other hand most of all the Republicans identify as pro-life which means that they are against abortion. The only life many of them are concerned with is the life of the fertilized egg, fetus or embryo. They are much less concerned about the life of women who have unintended pregnancies or the welfare of newborn children.
