I know it would be an experience for life and I would love to fight for my country. However, I, like most others, have a family, and my little sister [NAVN A], was very upset when she heard I was leaving. [NAVN A] means a lot to me, and I know that it would be really hard for her if I went to war. She would worry about me all the time, from the day I leave until I'm back home, and the only reason I even consider not leaving is her.
I got the letter 2 days ago, and my first thought was to do it. I wanted to experience new things, to see with my own two eyes how bad it is in Ukraine. For a couple of minutes, I had made up my mind. I thought to myself this is the easiest decision I have ever made. Then I thought about [NAVN A], and how her life would be if I die over there. She’s only 19, and I can’t do that to her.
