I find it extremely difficult to understand the man's situation leading up to the fall. I find it absolutely unreal, and I don't expect I'll ever have to make the decision whether to burn or jump. You can try to think what would go of your thoughts, but I don't think any person would come near reality.
I think the body is filled up with panic and adrenaline. Maybe lots of people didn't even think they were just throwing themselves out of the building.
What my mind would think is too hard to say. Imagine me thinking: "Is this it? It's over" and maybe I'm curious to know where everything ends up when it goes black, and in a few seconds, I'd find out what would happen next.
I would also perhaps experience regret and possibly not feel the happy ending, but it would feel unfinished, when you die so suddenly.
Another thing I think about when I think about death is, of course, my family. What am I leaving them with? Would they ever move on? It is my family’s whole every day that would be messed up. Maybe guilt also would hit me, even though it's not my fault I was in that situation.
