The industrial revolution in the UK has been happening from the 1700 - 1900s. There has been a shift in their history, and this meant that the country became urban right after being mostly rural. The slavery has ended in 1864 and the change has been seen in the new farmer technologies. The invention of the steam engine has been revolutionized in 1769 both for farming and transport. The new technologies such as steam power and railroads have transformed the industry.
The revolution and production of the steam engine
The steam engine was invented in 1708 by Thomas Newcomen but it used a lot of coal. This meant that the steam engine produced more goods, which is good thing for the business and that made the country stronger. As much as 80 per cent of the energy produced was just wasted on nothing. This meant that it had to get some upgrades and be remodelled. Even though Watt had known nothing about steam engines he repaired it and found a solution for it to work better. He saw that if the cylinder had stayed hot all the time it would benefit the fact that no power was wasted.
