The ship suddenly began to shake. I looked at my best friend Asher with fear in my eyes. He put his arm around my neck and ran to the side of the ship to see what was going on. A big iceberg had created a big hole in the side of the ship. My first thought was that we were for sure going to die. But Asher took my face in his hands and made sure to tell me we both were going to make it out alive. He took my hand and ran inside to grab some lifevests for us. We saw a lot of people gathering around the lifeboats and someone announced that not everyone would be allowed on them. Asher and I knew immediately that we would not be able to be let on the lifeboats because we were in the underclass section of the ship and our life would not be prioritized. After a while the ship started to tilt and a lot of people started jumping in to the water. Asher told me that we had to stay on the ship for as long as possible. We held on for a really long time but eventually we had to jump in.
