I’m in a dire situation; my ship sank a couple of days ago due to a collision with an iceberg and only few of us survived, we’ve concluded that only the captain, a couple of sailors and I are still- The captain stubbornly decided to search the wreckage by himself in search for any unconscious passengers, all of our electronic devices aren’t functioning so we’re not able to reestablish contact with civilization from our current location, which just so happens to be a deserted island in the pacific.
We’re quickly running low on supplies, and if help doesn’t arrive within a couple of days then we’re destined to perish. I’m kindly asking you to seek help from the authorities as quickly as possible; it’s very likely that that they’re able to do something about the situation, although I might be wrong.
I’ve written this letter over a couple of hours, and I’ve managed to gather some personal information about the crewmembers, I’ll list all of the important information at the end of this letter, along with a few heart-touching words from every single individual who’re stranded on this island. Bear in mind that all of what they had to say is meant to be send to their family members and not the media, since I would hate to create too much drama, which is what we need the least at the moment.
