Gun Violence: A Call for Global Safety

You know before getting up here and before writing this speech. I was told I had had 5 minutes to share anything I wanted to the world. Share something that I felt had a powerful meaning and sent an important message.

I must tell you all though. This isn’t an easy choice, so many important things are happening in the world, as I am standing here talking to you: Climate changes, poverty, religious conflicts, corruption, are all going on and I could keep naming more topics. We live in a troubled world, that needs to change and today I choose to talk about one of the things we can easily change, Gun violence and the safety of our world’s population.

We hear it in the news; we see it in the streets, and we feel it in our homes. Over 500 people die each day because of gun violence. Now I know all those people who die probably weren’t innocent human beings, some are probably part of gangs, some addicts, but they all deserve to live. No man or women should get their life taken for a few mistakes and that’s the problem with guns. They make it too easy.
