Introduction: in this assignment I will make a Character analysis of Allison and The narrator
The narrator is the main character in The New Girl, his development as a result of the events of the story.
The narrator's external characteristics reveal that he is eight years old and lives in a "white, middle-class neighborhood" as one can see (p. 22, l. 15). He is friends with a girl named Alison who is standard (p. 21, ll. 7-8)
The narrator was only eight years old when the episode took place. Twenty years later, he still regrets it and He remembers everything from episode, and you definitely can tell that he is sorry. The narrator regret that he didn’t do anything to stop Allison’s bullying to the new girl.
The narrator is a round character, because You get to know how he feel about the whole situation with the new girl. You can tell by reading the story that the narrator is trying to give the new girl and her family a chance.
Alison was ten years old when it took place. Alison was best friends with the narrator because they were the only two children living in that area. The narrator also looked up to Allison a lot even though they did not have the same interests. Are Allison and the narrator very different aggressive and fearless. you can clearly see that as Allison is also her there for the new girl to feel that she does not belong in that area by saying “get out of here nigger” and that ended up making the new girl and her mother moving out of town. in a way can say that that episode also ruined Allison of the narrators' friendship when the narrator sequels got a bad conscience and don't talk to Allison anymore.
