My main topic is sport and doping and my topic is transgender in sports
1. why did I choose this topic?
Affects the world
I have chosen this topic because it is something that can influence the whole world's sport
A personal interest
And maybe also for my own sport at some point.
I would like to tell a little about the transgender in the Olympics
2. Transgender participation in the Olympics
Three conditions in OL 2003
I 2003 drew the International Olympic Committee (komedi) (IOC) 3 guidelines for transgender in sport.
The first requirement was that athletes must have undergone sex reassignment surgery. The Second requirement was that they must be able to show a legal approval (apuvel) of their gender. The Third was that athletes must have undergone hormone therapy.
2004 allowed to participate
But it was not until 2004 that the IOC allowed transgender athletes to participate in the Olympic Games.
2015 changed the guidelines
In 2015 they changed the guidelines so that it only requires trans female athletes to declare their gender and not change this claim for four years, as well as detect their testosterone levels.
In 2021, the IOC approved
In 2021, a trans woman was approved (apuved)to compete at the 2020 Summer Olympics in weightlifting. Laurel Hubbard became the first trans woman to compete at the Olympics.
