Hello everyone, my name is Brandon, I work as an investigative journalist in The New York Times. I am here today to tell you a little bit about the future of college sports. I will tell you about the current challenges regarding college sports and the media's’ role in the matter, and how I think you can survive and thrive in the future. I am a former athlete and that's one of the reasons that I said yes to come here today. Seven years ago, I went to colleges, I was one of the best basketball players in the whole school team. I had a dream, I wanted to be a basketball player and play for my childhood dream team, and that was no doubt the Los Angeles Lakers. Another dream of mine was to play in the NBA, with Los Angeles Lakers, and the only way that would be poseable was to get into college. But my grades weren’t good enough, so I was thrown out of the college. For me, it was really hard to find time for friends, basketball, and school. I got into a deep dark hole, but it only made me stronger and wiser.
