Do you want to be allowed to choose if you want an abortion or not? If you ask me, I will answer yes. Me and many other women and men would say yes. Why? Because it’s my body and my choice. But for example, in Ireland abortion is illegal unless continuing the pregnancy would cause danger to the mother. However, travelling to another country and getting an abort is legal. But why is it necessary for a woman to travel to another country to get an abort because she doesn’t want her baby?
Why can’t you just have control over your own body? If you want to have an abort there is 100% a back story. For example, you can get raped and why would you want a baby with a father who raped you? Or maybe your baby could be brain damaged. Why would you want to carry a baby for nine months who is expected to live for a maximum of three days after birth. Like a 17-year-old from Ireland did. She was literally only a teenager. You could also get pregnant being a teenager/minor and not being ready to take care of another human being.
Ireland is not the only country where abortions is illegal. For example, there is a lot of changes in the USA right now, after trump has become the president of the USA. I am pretty sure that trump wants abortion to be illegal in the country. I am not sure if it is up to the states if they want abortion to be illegal but, in my opinion, I think it is up to the woman who is being pregnant. Why shouldn’t she have the right to choose whether she wants an abortion or not? I really don’t know.
