The American Dream I had heard so much about it. The land of possibilities, the land you can live out your dream, and become something you had never expected to become. Nothing worked out for me here. In nine years, I have studied and practiced to be lawyer or judge in the courtrooms. But I never had the opportunity here in Lebanon. The country is filled with war and terror, no possibilities to become something big, unless you try very very hard. But then I realized, that the entire struggle would become in vain. I realized, there were another please I could achieve the dreams I was holding inside my head. The land of opportunity: The United States of American arrived at Kennedy's Airport at July 15th. Before I took off from Beirut, I had arranged a meeting with some high-profiled lawyers in New York, and a whole company who said that they could help me out. I met one of them – Tim Straw ford – and he welcomed me to America. I had never seen anything like this country before. Beirut is beautiful in its own way, but here you felt like you could do whatever you wanted to. Like the sky was the limit. I sad back in Tim’s car, and watched the tall buildings of New York pass by me, as I enjoyed the present. After Tim helped me find a Hotel I could stay in, we called some of his lawyer friends, and asked them if they wanted to meet me. The said yes, and the day after the arrival, Tim and his 3 friends came to my room, and we sat and talked over a cup of coffee. I presented my ability to communicate in a way that would be perfect in a courtroom, and generally presented myself. They considered taking me in to their business, and asked me if I wanted to meet their boss, so he could consider taking me in on the job. I was very happy, I had only been here for 2 days, and already accomplished more than I would on a whole year back home. By the time I met the boss, Tim and his friends had already given me a good reputation in the lawyers firm. They had promoted me, by talking about how good I was, and why he just had to hire me, as a lawyer. All of this came true. By the time I was 27 (3 years after I first came to America) I was very successful. I had the perfect job, a perfect house, money was no problem, and I even found me a wife. Everything was perfect, and the whole travel affected me in a positive way. I had never felt this sort of happiness in my life.
