Hi, out there! You’ve probably heard about the story about the plane crash in a jungle in Malaysia, right? But I’m not sure that you know as much as I know about it. Well, I’m the pilot, Rod Willis, and I’m going to tell you some more, about the plane crash.
It was a wonderful day. The sun shone, the birds sang and everyone was happy, I thought so. I was ready to steer the airplane. I had done it many times before, so I had no reason to be nervous or afraid. Many people went to their seats, when the time had come. I ate a piece of cake. I started the plane, and began to fly. We left the airport in Rangoon, and fly towards Singapore.
It began to rain, when we were over the sea. I wasn’t afraid. I knew I could do it. It was very difficult to see, but I could see a little bit. I had to fly more slowly. People, who were on the airplane, didn’t know that it rained. They all slept, when there they heard thunderclap, they woke up. Some babies cried, some children began to scream. They were all afraid, but I told them, that it was okay. After a little while, the thunderstorm stopped. I was relieved. Now, could we fly without any problems, I thought. Suddenly it began to rain again. This time it rained very heavy. I saw a lot of lightning. One of them attacked the plane. I could feel that the airplane began to fall down. And it began to be difficult to steer it. I thought that there still was hope… until ... another lightning attacked the plane. This time was worse. The airplane crashed. It was horrible. I clambered out of the window. I helped the other out. We all helped each other, but the plane burned, and we all had to run away. I didn’t believe it, I was still alive. I didn’t remember how many survived. I think about 28 persons.
