Peter is a 17-year-old lad from Coleby in Yorkshire. Peter’s father is Dave. Dave works in a coalmine called Coleby 3. The coalmine is located on a mountain in Coleby. Peters mother is Mavis. Mavis is a housewife, and she is taking care of the house and Peter.
There is a beautiful white house, few streets away from Peter’s house.
It has a beautiful white garden with a lot of roses and other pretty flowers. The house does not only amaze Peter, he is also interested in the occupiers. One of them is sergeant Bernard Bolt, who is the only police officer in Coleby. The other person is Mary. Mary is a very close friend to Peter. Peter met Mary at school in the art room. When Peter saw Mary for the first time, the only thing that was going through his mind was how perfect she was.
Peter has a huge talent for football, but his commitment isn’t that good. He only plays football for fun. But one day, Peter receives a letter from Chelsea Football Club. They are interested in Peter, and they want him to go to London and show them his skills. But Peter doesn’t know, if he wants to be a professional football player. Mary on the other hand thinks that it’s a huge opportunity. Then Peter decides to go London. Peter gets homesick very fast, and the only thing he can think about is getting home.
