Michael More is a male celebrity who works with making documentaries. In bowling for columbine he tries to explain and show the negative parts of the US gun laws.

One question raised about the United States is if they really have a more violent past than other countries, and therefore should be allowed to carry weapons. Another question raised is why there are so many killings in the US, when f.eks. Canadians almost have got as many weapons pr. household as the Americans, but far less gun violence towards humans than in the US.

The second amendment is the law that gives every American the right to own weapons, and use them for self-defence. This is important to know because it is one of the main reasons to many killings in the US.

In the US many citizens believe that it is their right to protect themselves and their families. They mean that the most effective way to protect themselves is to own weapons. Some people in America even think that it is every American’s duty to carry or at least own weapons, and that people who do not own weapons are irresponsible towards their families.

The NRA, also known as The National Rifle Association is a very powerful group of people who believe, and protect the idea that every American should be allowed to own weapons.
