In “Bowling for Columbine” is Michael Moore trying to uncover the American attitude for weapons and not least the reason for all the thousand shootings that United States every year experiences.
With his unusual shape Michael manage to show a lot of entertaining, radical and choking scenes, but in the end he looses a bid of his overview, when he, unlike his previous film “Roger & Me” have hard time to find and point the finger on the “guilty”.
Michael is a professional documentarian and an unbelievable staging, which with a great precision manages to put itself at the centre with his brutal and impulsive working the his stories. In this way he forces even its "victims" to respond.
Michael Moore is satisfied to be denied as he turns just back stronger the second time as when he was in "Bowling for Columbine" are ignored by top officials in the supermarket chain “Well-Mart", and then return with all television stations in the back then they suddenly want to talk to him.
Unlike many others documentaries Michael is not a fly on the wall as an observer, but he is an active member, helping to figure and transform the film.
