(1803) John Keats dad died when he was 8 years old in a horse accident and the same year his mom remarried but shortly after they were separated. She took the family to live with his grandmother. Where he was studying contemporary literature.

(1810) John Keats mom died of tuberculosis and left her kids (4) with the grandmother, he was only 15 years old a that time.

(1810) The grandmother appointed two guardians to take care of the children, the two guardians thought that his dreams of poetry was silly, and moved him to another school, so he could became a surgeon instead.

(1814) After a fight with his master he became a student of guy hospital (King’s college of London). That year he started to devote more and more time to study literature.

(1818) Keats brother also died of tuberculosis, John was 23 years old at that time

(1819) He fell in love with Fanny Brawn, his neighbour. Shortly afterwards he began to show the first signs of tuberculosis

(1820) John began to show serious signs of tuberculosis.

(1821) He died in age of 26 in Rome, after suffering of tuberculosis. His headstone was to be engraved with a lyre and with the words ‘Here lies one whose name was writ in water’
