There was a terror attack at the World Trade Center by Al Qaeda at September 11.

The World Trade Center in New York City United States was a complex of seven buildings in Lower Manhattan. Mostly designed by the American architect, Minoru Yamasaki and the engineer, Leslie Robertson.

The Center is constructed in 1966-1972 and was the biggest towers, in the world at this time. The Center has 110 floors, and the area is 8.6 million square feet. To come up to the 110 floor, you must take an elevator it takes about 7.6minuts so there were seat places in the elevator.

The World Trade Center is 1,727 feet tall.

On September 11, 2001 at 8:48 a.m attacks and collapse the World Trade Center.

Al Qaeda world’s most notorious terror group flight a borring 737 into the northern facade of the North Tower. Only seventeen minutes later, at 9:03 a.m. a second team of hijacker’s flight another borring 737 into the South Tower, which collapsed a half hour later. At 10:28 a.m. the North Tower collapsed.

Police officers, firefighters, other workers and private people help cleaning up the destroyed World Trade Center. They were first searching for survivors in the ruins. The last survivors were found on September 12. The clean up took 8 months and more than 100.000 truckloads were removed.
