Hope you’re doing fine. As you know my friend and I went to London to watch the football match between Chelsea and Arsenal. It was an exciting trip which I would like to tell you about, especially because I know how much you love football. When we arrived to the outside of the stadium the atmosphere was very tense. Many people showed up, and they did all expect a lot out of their team. Already before the game had started, hooligans from Chelsea Arsenals firm had arrived, and we started to doubt whether they were there to watch football or to fight. In case you don’t know what a hooligan is, I will explain it shortly. Every football team has a firm. The firms consist of a group of guys, who fights against the other firms. You can say that the football is just some kind of excuse to fight. Well… We got into the stadium, and watched an amazing game. The audience yelled and cheered, and everybody was in the mood to watch a great football game. The Arsenal fans were on one side of the pitch, and the Chelsea fans were one the other. Since we didn’t really care who won, and just wanted to watch the game, we found a safe place so that we wouldn’t get into any kind of trouble. I was thrilling to watch how exited everybody got during the game. Chelsea lost the match 2-1, and their fans were very upset. When we got back outside the stadium there were police everywhere. They knew that there were going to be many big fights, when two such big teams are playing against each other. At that time my friend and I didn’t knew that, so we asked one of the policemen, why they were he. He found us kind of naïve cause why didn’t knew about the hooliganism, and he told us that many people had got killed the past few years because of the hooliganism, and that we has to be very careful, if we didn’t wanted to get into any trouble. After talking to the police officer, we were kind of freaked out, but still we decided to stay a bit longer, just to see how it turned about between the two firms. A few minutes later some Arsenal fans started to mock the fans from Chelsea. The Chelsea fans got very pissed off, and started to push the Arsenal fans, and quickly became clear, that a part of the audience was just there, because they were in the mood for a heavy fight. All I remember from the next few minutes is a lot of people massed together, and my friend and I both got a lump in ones throat. We felt very unsafe, and wanted to go home to our hotel as quickly as possible. We tried to squeeze through the crowed, but it wasn’t possible. Now we were almost freaking out, but then a police officer saw us and yelled and somehow managed to get us out of the crowd. We thanked to policeman, and found a cap. We arrived to our hotel, and have had quite an experience. For us it seems very weird that they are hooligans, and we might not get why they are doing it, but I think that it’s primary because of the community. They might not have got much attention from their family and friends, and they’re seeking for some people who care. They got each other’s back always, and they know that they can trust each other. I don’t the football club could have done anything different to prevent the riots. They called the police, long before that game has even started, so that they were ready and could try to reduce the damage. That is all I want to tell about my crazy and thrilling football experience.
