The first of my two favourite scenes is when Forrest comes to the emergency room with two ice creams in his hands. He discovers that Lieutenant Dan lies beside him in a bed. He asks him if he wanted to have one of his ice creams. Lieutenant Dan takes the ice and throws it down in a (bucket). Forrest is being moved from the bed to another bed beside Lieutenant Dan. There come man and say to Lieutenant Dan that he must come in bat. Forrest sees that Dan has lost both his feet. Lieutenant Dan says nothing to Forrest, because he is very sad, because Forrest saved his life.
The second of my favourite scenes is when his table tennis bat and Medal of Honor, has been given by the president, lies on the table. The two things he had given to Jenny. But now lies on the table because she had left him. Without any particular reason, he started to run a long trip. He ran down to the end of the road, and when he came this far, he ran for city boundaries. And when he came this far, he would just run longer and longer and longer. He ran across Alabama. He ran and ran without any particular reason. He thought highly on Jenny, while he ran. He came on TV, when he was running over in little more than two years. Then there was suddenly one man there will run with him. There were more and more there will run with him. So at a time when he had run for three years, two months, fourteen days and sixteen hours he gave up to run. Then he starts to run the long way home.
