'Forrest Gump' analyse af temaer

The book Forrest Gump was written by Winston Groom in 1984 and describes how a mentally challenged man lives out mans greatest dreams, without even knowing it.

Forrest Gump lives with his mother, and has never met his father. From the first day of his life Forrest Gump has been different.

At first Forrest Gump is put in a school for normal children but the teachers discover that Forrest would be better of in a school for “less intelligent” children.

Forrest Gump is not very clever but, his an extremely good athlete. Forrest went through everything, one day he’s the best football player in America, the next day he receives a medal for his extraordinary courage during the war in Vietnam. Above that he was undefeatable in games, like ping-pong and chess, and earns lots of millions on his shrimp company; BubbaGump, which he named after his best friend Bubba, who died in his arms during the war in Vietnam.
