New orleans is the greatest city in The state of Louisiana and is placed in the Mississippi estuary .Thes state was founded by a French man in 1682and he named it Louisiana after the French king Louis XIV .New Orleans has 4.361.000 citizens. The capitol is Baton Rouge, also a French name because of the history. The elderly part of town is very French, and the outer areas are a American. The town is a mix of French streets names and creol food. The state is known as the biggest home for jazz music and has a lot of bars and music places.
In 2005 Louisiana was strucked by an orcan, 1048 people died, mostly old people, and it has been a hard work to rebuild the cities, there is yet a long way to go.
