Twitter is the new way of communicate with your friends. It is blog service where you can send a short message of 140 characters with a status update of what you have been doing, are doing or are about to do. Between 1 and 3 million people are using the service which is free.
The American software architect Jack Dorsey which is a business person is best known as the creator of Twitter. He was hired by Evan Williams in his firm that was called Odeo. Odeo is where millions of audio & video episodes from thousands of podcasts and media sites across the web is from. Odeo.com is part search engine, part media directory, and part social network.
Jack Dorsey presented an idea that he has had for a couple of years. The idea was to make a site where you could write simple status updates to your friends. Then in 2006 Jack and Evan launched Twitter as a new way of communicate.
