The film is about a daughter honors her mother named Kathleen, which died of cancer. She tells about what her mom had done for her family and the risk she has taken. When her mom was younger she worked very hard and took care of her younger sisters and brothers. She went to church every Sunday. She met her husband in 1967 and gave birth to her daughter (the director) 5 years later. She tells that her mom had trouble giving birth to her sister and was hospitalized for several months. After that, the doctors warned her to get any more children. Her mom was a homemaker and made almost all their clothes at home. The father was offered a new job and her mom and dad agreed to move. When they were moved into the new house they found out that the job already was taken by another man, and the father moved back to New York by himself. Because of the long distance the relationship between her mom and dad broke, so they decided to get a divorce. Her mom found another man and gave after a while birth to twins. In 2000 she was diagnosed cancer and went through several operations to get away with the cancer. But in 2001 she was diagnosed again and died.
