Denmark is a very good country to live in, but it is not very big country. Denmark’s Neighbouring country’s is Norway, Sweden and Germany. There’s a lot of people there live in Sweden, but work in Denmark, because there is a bridge between Denmark and Sweden called “Øresundsbroen”, so they drive over so the can go to work.
The capital of Denmark is Copenhagen, and it is on Zealand. In Jutland is the biggest city Aarhus, and on Fyn is it Odense.
In Denmark we also have some famous buildings, sculptures and writers. One of the most famous buildings is “Rundetårn”, and in English the Round Tower, which was built in 1642, of Christian 4.
There are 209meters to the top of the Round Tower, but it is only about 36meters high.
The little mermaid is a sculpture, which is in the water, by Langelinie in Copenhagen, and it is one of Denmark’s biggest tourist attractions.
H.C Andersen is a world famous Danish writer, he was born 2. April 1805, and he died 4. August 1875. He has written 156 fairytales, and they are translated to 120 different language.
It is good to go in Danish school, and it is very different from yours. We have 572 students at our school, and we have two breaks on one school day. The first one is at 15min, and the second one is at 45min, and we can go home and eat in our breaks. It can be very hard to go to school, because sometimes we have a lot of homework to do, but I think all students thinks that. On Tuesday ends our school day first at 15:10, so in the two last lessons is it hard to concentrate.
