I sat in the taxi on the way to Bodrum in Turkey. I was on holiday with my mum Maria and my dad Edward. My grandmother lives in turkey, that’s why we were going to Turkey in our holiday. We normally live with my grandmother when we are there.
It was very hot outside so I rolled down the window to get some air. When we arrived in Bodrum, my grandmother stand in front of the house and were welcoming us. My parents and my grandmother went into the house to drink tea; I did not want to sit down so I went for a walk. I decided to go down to the beach to get some air. The beach was packed with people, but it was because it was so hot. I walked along the beach and looked at all the people who were playing out in the sea. Suddenly a ball hit my head. I turned around and saw a Turkish boy come running towards me. “Hey sorry!” the Turkish boy said, “Oh it´s okay, it did not hurt” I said quietly, “I have not seen you before, are you new in the town?” the Turkish boy asked, “No, I’m just on holiday with my family” I replied. We stood for a minute embarrassing silence then the Turkish boy asked about something new: “do you want to play ball with me and my friends?”, “I would like to but I need to get home” I said, “okay, hope to see you again” he said with a smile. I smiled back to him, and ran home.
