diary entry 15th of January 1892 My name is Fayad, and I'd like to introduce myself. I'm fifteen years old. I'm a young boy with brown hair and dark circles under my eyes. I'm from Turkey, which is in Europe. Many folks in my homeland told wonderful and exciting stories about the "GOLDEN LAND" known as America. My mother and father, as well as my brother and two sisters, make up my family. We had to leave our nation. My parents believed that in America, we would have a better life. My family was a disaster. 16th of January, 1892
