Mr. Mim: The Man in the Middle

Mr. Mim´s social status is based on money. That is what American sociologists´ studies show. The influence of education on the American´s status quotient is not as big as money, and in the American´s opinion the importance of the race is not particularly essential either. The reason is probably that Mr. Mim thinks that be means of money he can buy the meaning of life. That is, among other things, a great house in a nice neighborhood. Mr. and Mrs. Mims´s dream house have all of a modern home convenience. On the list of the married couple´s status symbols is, for example, a huge garden. The family´s wish is that the looks of other people must not disturb the sanctity of privacy.

But how happy will Mr. and Mrs. Mim become? They may discover too late that they have become slaves of status symbols. In order to buy all these things they will have to work harder and of the house and the garden maintenance will take their and the children´s spare time.
