When I first read the poem “What Is Success” I just thought that it was a normal poem just like every poem is to me. Many times I fail to see the deeper meaning of them, but this one is different. I began to think about the poem, and it took me about ten minutes to realize, that this poem was a very good subject for an essay. When reading the assignment at the bottom of the poem, you realize that there are so many different lines of approach that’s almost inevitable to be unable to write anything about it. I agree with most of what is written in the poem. Is it success to be able to laugh often and much and if you win respect and appreciation by people, then you have certainly had success in life. The ability to find the best in others and appreciate beauty is also a kind of success in life. There are many adults who appreciate fine art and they are almost always able to see the best in others. Unluckily I haven’t got that advantage yet. I’m however, better at using a computer than most of the people of my parent’s generations. I’m not talking about the people who work with computers as an engineer or a computer technician, but the generations in general, because they haven’t had the opportunity to grow up with a computer at home or at school. It has simply become a basic part of our development.
