The beginning of The Beatles The Beatles was one of the most popular groups in the sixties, unfortunately they split up, but they are still one of the biggest groups, which has ever existed. Besides they were huge idols in the music career, they were also an inspiration to the people as regards fashion and marketing. The group consisted of four boys from Liverpool: Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. They were friends, but compotators too. The core of the group was the composers John Lennon and Paul McCartney. They wrote almost all the songs together or separately, and many of their songs were on the charts. John Lennon had started the group “The Quarry Men” when he met Paul McCartney and the group was transformed into “The Silver Beatles”. Paul McCartney brought a younger schoolmate named George Harrison, and John Lennon brought a friend named Stuart Sutcliffe. The group had success in some of the bars in Liverpool, but the group was looking for a real success, and they moved to Hamburg. They earned some money in Hamburg by acting on the notorious Reeperbahn-quarter. “Star Club” was the group’s favorite public house, and it was here, they met one of the worst sides of life, narcotic, which they used on the tuff and long workdays. The group went back to Liverpool, as George Harrison couldn’t get a residence permit in Germany because of his young age. But after a short residence in Liverpool, they moved back to Hamburg with a new manager named Brian Epstein. Back in Hamburg they met Klaus Voormann and Astrid Kirchherr, who according to rumors were the persons that designed the hair of Beatles. A big part of the image of the group was the hair, leather clothes and the special boots. Especially the long pageboy hair was a big provocation to the surrounding world in the sixties. Stuart Sutcliff leaved the group in 1962, and instead of him, Ringo Starr, entered the group. The group did very well, and when they moved to London to record a record, they got very famous. In the beginning the group was seen as a teenage phenomenon with a big hair and screaming fans. Their tours were chaotic, because of the fans, which blocked the airports and streets every time The Beatles was visiting a city, but eventually they were some of the biggest idols in the history.
