Music has always had a way to gather people around, most common at festivals like The Summer festival and G festival. But it doesn´t matter where the music is played it still gather´s a crowd, one very common way for a small crowd to gather is when there are artist´s playing for free on the street, it is called street music.
A festival is an event. That usually celebrates a unique aspect of the community. But not many festivals do this in the Faroe Islands, its more common for the Germans to celebrate their community, for an example they’ve got the world famous festival called Beer Fest which is one if not the most famous drinking festival in the world. Festivals are often religious where the people gathered at the festival most common celebrate their god or gods, whatever the case might be. We have many festivals at The Faroe Islands there is The summer festival, G festival, which are the two main festival, and there are also many more smaller festivals like one called “Við múrin” or in English at the wall. We Faroese have a lot of musical artists so we do tend to have long Festivals and a lot of them they normally last up to three days most people bring tents to a camping spot others take camping cars and some take boats, and of course there are those who live or have relatives in the city or village where the festival is hosted.
