The life of Henry Lee Lucas was filled with physical and mental terror, neglect and maltreatment. I will look at the reasons to how Henry Lee Lucas got to be one of the most notorious serial killers ever to have lived in the United States. Different theories and science will reveal witch precautions should and could have been done to prevent him of becoming this morbid killer. I will give an account of what evil is, but mainly reveal the form of evil Henry Lee Lucas did perform in his many years around highway I-35 where many of his killings took place. We can thereby conclude that even though Henry Lee Lucas lived a horrible life and had a lack of empathy, he could show a form for feelings towards people who treated him with compassion. What could have been done from the Society to prevent a boy from growing up and becoming a serial killer? I have in my work mostly used the book “confessions of Henry Lee Lucas” written by Mike Cox, who interviewed more than a 100 people to get an inside in how Henry Lee Lucas lived and got to the killings of up to 600 people. Ultimately, Henry Lee Lucas was convicted of 11 homicides. He was sentenced to death for the murder of an unidentified woman dubbed "Orange Socks," as those were the only items of clothing found on her. In 2001 Henry Lee Lucas died in prison from heart failure at age 64.
