Of Mice And Men is a novel, published in 1937, written by John Steingbeck. The story is about two friends, George and Lennie, who are migrant workers. They travel from ranch to ranch and valley to valley, with nothing and no one with them. All they have is each other. Lennie is a big and strong man, with mental disabilities, while George is a smaller, smart man, who takes his friend under his wing. They dream of one day settling down and getting their own place. After getting hired at a farm, they get confronted by the boss’s son Curley, who instantly dislikes Lennie. Lennie has a thing for soft things, and likes to tend animals, he however has a tendency of not knowing his own strength and always ends up, accidently, killing the animals. Lennie is attracted to Curley’s flirtatious wife, and during a conversation between the two, Lenny gets too aggressive and accidently ends up killing Curley’s wife. Because of this George has no other choice, but to kill Lennie.
