Greg and Jennifer was moved from the family by the police. Greg was born in Cape Barren. He got one sister and two brothers. They were moved to Launceston because of Greg’s mother was drinking and suffered a bad injury. The boys were forced together but his sister was moved to another family. The first time the children was all together was in 1995.
Jennifer’s story is a bit different. One early morning in November 1952 the manager from Burnt Bridge mission came with a policeman and told Jennifer’s mother that he was taking Jennifer and her sister to Cootamundra Home. The girls went to another family and got treated very bad. They got punished, should stay up all night to they could work. They were threaten like a some kind of slaves.
The two stories are a bit different. Greg got treated okay but Jennifer was treated bad.
The main condition in this story is that both children was taken away by power. Many kids newer saw there parents again but Greg and Jennifer saw their family again.
There is a big different in these two stories. The boys got treated better than the girls. I don’t know why they got treated different.
