The prince that was afraid of water

Once upon a time, a beautiful princess lived on an island in the Pacific Ocean.

Her name was Miranda. Every morning Miranda and her parents went down to the sea for a swim. Miranda loved the ocean and if she could have it her way she would swim all day long. One the neighbour island there lived a prince called Eric. Eric was Miranda’s best friend and, they spend every day together. However, Eric was afraid of water and when Miranda went for a swim he just sad on the beach waiting for her. Miranda did every thing she could to cure his water problem. But nothing helped, Eric was more afraid of water than any thing else. One day Miranda and Eric’s parents decided that Eric and Miranda should get engaged to each other. Eric and Miranda were very happy. They had been friends longer than they could remember and they wouldn’t go anywhere without each other. Then one day Miranda went for her morning swim while Eric sad on the beach and read a book. Suddenly a big bat came and took Miranda, Eric shouted that the bat should let her go, but the bat just kept on flying. Eric couldn’t jump in to the water and swim after her so he took his boat and followed the bat until he came to a big volcano Island. Eric jumped out of the boat, and climbed all day to get up on the top of the volcano. Finally he came up; on the top he saw a big cave. He thought that the bat which took Miranda might be in there. Eric went too sleep under a big tree while waiting to see if the bat would come out with Miranda. He slept until noon the next day. Then he went into the cave, where it was very dark. Eric looked around, it was a very big cave but all he could see was a candle, a cage and the bat, which was sleeping. Eric went over to the cage and princess Miranda was sitting inside it. When she saw Eric she started to cry. Eric asked her why she was crying and she said “Eric you are so sweet you came to help me, but the bat knows that you are afraid off water so it took the key to this cage and threw it in the ocean below the volcano, and you now that a leopard can’t change his spots so you cant jump in the water”. The next moment Eric ran out off the cave and jumped into the water, without thinking about how scared he was of the water. He found the key but he couldn’t reach it. He jumped in a second time and this time he touched it, but he still didn’t get it. Then he said “three times a charm” and jumped in the water again and this time he got the key. He ran up to the cave and unlocked cage to the princess. They went home and they lived happily ever after.
