Hello listeners. I will tell you about my brother and his difficult childhood.

Already when I was little I noticed that we were a different family. My mom and dad always helped my brother. But I knew it was important that they helped him because he was dyslexic.

Because he is dyslexic others have always looked at him wrongly, when they found out that he is dyslexic.

It started as early as kindergarten; children did not want to play with him because he was different. When he started at school it got worse. He was often beaten, assaulted and came home with bruises. My brother has always been very loving and helpful, and he has never beaten anybody. But yet it was always him who was blamed for starting a fight. Although he was dyslexic, it seemed as if the teachers didn’t like him. They never helped him.

But then he started on a new special school, and the teachers helped him all the time. I've always been there for my big brother.

But it's been hard to be there for him the last 5 years. It all started when he had a difficult childhood. Then he changed schools and made new friends and it all went well, we thought. But what we didn’t know was that he was started going with the wrong boys, and together they started to smoke marijuana and take other drugs. I was the first one, who noticed it. I was only 15 years old. I found him in his room when took drugs. Then I ran away crying, and was aggressive. We talked it all through and I promised, that I said nothing to our parents. For a whole year I kept, what I promised and we talked often about what he should do. I really tried to help him, but no matter what I did there was nothing I could do. I decided to tell my parents all about it. They freaked out, and asked how long I had known it. It was as if the world stopped. I felt guilty. They have had difficulties making a good childhood, and now this happened and I have said nothing for a whole year. My parents had to talk with him, he was not himself anymore. They decided to get him to a rehabilitation clinic, where he would live with other young people. He was angry about it, but he knew we just want him the best.
