Good afternoon. Maybe you’ve heard of me. My name is Amy Winehouse. A lot of rumours have been going around of me always being high and “on the mend”. Some of them are true, but don’t judge me before you know why.

When i was a kid, a lot of girls picked on me because i had bracelet and my boobs weren’t as big as theirs. So i started hanging out with the other “freaks” and one day one of the older guys asked if i wanted a blow. And not that kind where i “do that thing”, no i mean he asked if i wanted to smoke crack. To be honest i was a bit afraid the first time, but it just felt so good. I forgot about what other thought of me. I became addicted to it, started trying other and stronger drugs. Later when i was at my room at home, i was about to smoke some weed, but my parents broke in, took my joint and said that this has got to end now. I refused to go to rehab. My father gave one last chance to get my life back on tracks, if not he would force me to go to a rehab centre. I had to come up with something to get my thoughts away from the drugs, so i started writing songs. That was something that really caught me. My dad was happy about me finding something good, so he bought me a guitar. I started playing on the streets and before i know of it, some producer found me and got me a contract. But as my career kicked forward and my job became stressed, the drugs catch up to me. And it became an image for me. I started showing up high to my concerts. The tabloids went crazy and suddenly all kinds of photos came up. My fans started sending me letters where they said i should be ashamed and other kinds of things that you DONT want to hear from your fans, instead of supporting me. ..
